Dealing with a returned check or other unpaid item is a difficult experience, leaving you to face additional costs and frustration. In the event that an overdraft does occur, we want to protect you from the fees charged by merchants and the negative effects it can have on your credit history. That’s why we offer Overdraft Guardian, an overdraft protection program created just for HOPE members.

This service covers certain checking account activity that can include checks, electronic transactions, automatic bill payments and recurring debit card payments. Unless you decline the service, coverage is automatically applied to eligible accounts and transactions within specified limits.  You may also choose to extend protection to cover ATM transfers and withdrawals, as well as everyday debit card purchases up to the limit of your coverage.
