Through the Hope Affinity Network, HOPE provides Alabama State University (ASU) employees with affordable financial products and services to help build a brighter future.

Alabama State University employees who meet the following requirements will qualify for a $1,000 unsecured loan:

Must have been employed with Alabama State University for a minimum of one year at date of application
Required repayment by payroll deduction
10% annual percentage rate (APR)
Up to 12-month repayment period
Employee can only utilize this employee loan program benefit once every 12 months
- Employees may apply for additional HOPE loan products as needed in accordance with HOPE’s regular approval processes, but may only have one unsecured loan outstanding at any time.
Hope Membership required ($10 membership fee and $15 minimum balance required).
Current Hope Deposit Accounts must be in good standing
Loans subject to credit approval
Underwriting Documentation:
- Completed and signed HOPE Consumer Loan Application
- Proof of Identification/SSN
- Proof of Residence
- Verification of income from employer (two most recent paystubs)
- Verification of employment date from employer
- ASU authorization of agreement for payroll deduction
