Become a Member
All of HOPE’s products and services are available to individuals and businesses located in the Deep South: Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Tennessee.
People and organizations located outside HOPE’s primary service area can support our work, earn a return on their money, enjoy federal insurance, and support our mission by opening a savings, share certificate, or money market account.
Three Simple Ways to Join
Use our quick and easy online application service to become a member. Existing members can also use it to open a new account.
Visit a HOPE branch to complete the account opening process.
Download and complete a membership application form (prints best on legal size paper). If you are opening an account for a business or an organization, you will also need to complete a corporate agreement. Then send it in with your membership fee and initial deposit.

Yes, it’s as simple as that.
But there is something special that happens when you start your relationship with HOPE: you become a member-owner. HOPE is a cooperative where every member has an equal voice in the credit union, and that means you get a relationship with a financial institution that puts your needs first.
HOPE is a community development credit union, and membership is open to individuals and organizations who join Hope Enterprise Corporation. You can become a member of both organizations by completing the membership application. As a member, you can take advantage of our full range of products and services, from checking and savings accounts to personal, mortgage or business loans.
The membership fee is only $10 ($5 goes to Hope Enterprise Corporation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, and is tax deductible). Your membership is good for as long as you have your HOPE account.
