L.J. Molden
Senior Vice President, Economic and Community Development
Charles “L.J.” Molden is a Senior Vice President, Community and Economic Development at Hope Enterprise Corporation. In this role, he is responsible for advancing HOPE’s mission of strengthening the financial health and wealth of people in under resourced communities in the Deep South, with an emphasis placed on HBCUs, municipalities and diverse entrepreneurs. L.J. has over 10 years of experience in the banking industry with a focus on community & economic development, real estate valuation, property management, commercial real estate lending, underwriting and portfolio management.
A native of Moss Point, Mississippi, L.J. earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics with an emphasis in Accounting from Tougaloo College and a Master of Business Administration from Jackson State University. He serves the Premier Teacher Support Foundation as a Board Member, the West Jackson Rotary Club as the Treasurer, and several additional community focused organizations in leadership positions. L.J. is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc where he serves as Keeper of Exchequer.
