Micro Loans
for individuals

HOPE and ACCION USA, are partnering to provide capital to self-employed, small business owners affected by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. This business loan program leverages the resources of two community-based organizations to provide
business loans with a quick turnaround to small business owners in the Gulf Coast region.

Loan amounts of $2,000 to $25,000 are available to qualified businesses. Those businesses include:

• Existing businesses affected by the hurricanes. Companies must have been in operation for two years or more prior to Katrina
• Pre-existing or new businesses aiding in hurricane reconstruction efforts

Loans for most business purposes, such as:

• Equipment, machinery and vehicles
• Repairs and minor construction
• Inventory, materials, marketing
• Payroll and working capital

• Bridge loans for businesses awaiting SBA or state loans, grants, or insurance proceeds

The program features a quick loan application process that helps businesses move forward rapidly.
