Hurricane Katrina Disaster Recovery Information

The following information is provided to help people affected by the recent sever weather from hurricane Katrina and to offer people ways to help victims of the disaster. If you need additional information, please contact us and we will do our best to assist you.

Branch Office Status
New Orleans, LA

The New Orleans Central City branch, located at 1726 Oretha Castle Haley Boulevard, is currently in operation. The retail section of the branch is now open.

Jackson, MS
Jackson Medical Mall - The ATM located at the Jackson Medical Mall branch is currently in operation. The retail section of the branch is now open.
Terry Road Branch - The ATM at the Terry Road Branch, located at 1748 Terry Road, is currently operational. The retail section of the branch is now open.

Getting to Your Money

  • First, remember that your money is safe. Each HOPE depositor is insured for up to $100,000 by the National Credit Union Administration.
  • ATM Access - HOPE's ATM at the Jackson Medical Mall branch and the ATM at the Jackson Terry Road branch are fully operational. The ATM at the New Orleans Central City branch is not operational and will be out of service indefinitely.
  • You may also use your HOPEAnytime ATM or debit card at any ATM that is part of the Pulse, VISA, Credit Union 24, or Money Pass networks. If you use your card at a Credit Union 24 "Here", or Money Pass location, you will not incur any service charges. You can find Credit Union 24 and Credit Union 24 "Here" locations by visiting www.cu24.com. Money Pass locations can be found at www.moneypass.com or call 1-866-495-5157 and an operator will locate an activate ATM near you.
  • Shared Branching - HOPE is a member of the Credit Union Service Center, a national network of more than 1,700 credit unions that allow HOPE members to use branches of other credit unions in the network. You can find participating credit unions near you at www.creditunion.net.
  • Internet Access - You may use HOPENet, our Internet banking, service to check balances, pay bills, and transfer funds between accounts.

Loan Information

All members who live in areas that have been severely affected by the hurricane will have their loan repayments automatically deferred for 90 days. People who need additional extensions due to employment or housing issues may contact HOPE to make other arrangements based on specific situations.

By purchasing an insured CD at a rate of 0-2%, you enable HOPE to provide flexible financing terms that help low-income individuals and families rebuild their homes, businesses and lives in the wake of Hurricane Katrina.
